General Terms and Conditions for Niki Rent a Car
These terms and conditions are a non-negotiable part of the contract for renting a vehicle. The renter who’s passport information is present on the contract is obliged to accept and follow these conditions.
І. Using the vehicle n_car@abv.bg
1. The vehicle can only be operated by certified drivers.
2. The vehicle can be used by other certified drivers, but only if they have been stated in the contract as additional drivers.
3. The vehicle CAN NOT be used for the following:
- Towing another vehicle, or to be used as a platform
- Racing
- The vehicle cannot be used by people under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any pharmaceutical products that are listed in the Bulgarian Law of Transport.
- For carrying more weight or people as stated in the car’s manual
II. Insurances and obligations of the renter:
Vehicles that are fully insured
1. In the case of a car accident, or aggression towards the rented vehicle by third parties, the renter is obliged to present a document from KAT or any other relevant law enforcement agencies.
- If the aforementioned document is presented, the renter is not subject to any financial penalties
- If the aforementioned document is not presented, the renter is obliged to fully pay for all of the damages that have been caused to the vehicle.
2. The renter can receive a replacement vehicle in the case of damages, fire, theft and mechanical issues and free road service in the territory of Bulgaria, as long as the document stated in point 1 has been provided.
3. The insurance is not applicable for damages to the tires, rims, chassis, unless the renter has presented the relevant documents from KAT.
Vehicles that have standard insurance
- Liabilities are only limited to the deposit. Only applicable if the relevant from KAT has been provided. This is not applicable if the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if the Bulgarian Law of Transport has been broken.
- In the case of theft, the liability is limited to the deposit. This is applicable if the relevant documentation from KAT has been provided, and if the key and papers of the vehicle have been returned.
- Replacement vehicle in the case of mechanical issues.
III. The vehicle insurances are not valid, and the renter is obliged to fully cover any costs in the following cases:
- Presence of alcohol, drugs, or any pharmaceutical products as stated in the Bulgarian Law of Transportation.
- If the vehicle is being operated by a person that is not present in the contract to rent the vehicle
- The insurance does not cover partial loses, such as spare parts, accessories, keys, documents, registration plates etc.
- The insurance does not cover damages to the interior of the car.
- The renter is obliged to take care of the vehicle, and return it in the condition that he has received it in.
- The renter is obliged to return the vehicle at the date and hour as stated in the contract.
- If the vehicle cannot be returned on time, the renter is obliged to inform the lessor at least 24 hours before the contact is due to expire, and to sign a new contract before the old one expires.
- If 24 hours have passed after the contract has expired, this contract is considered as non-valid, and the lessor reserves the right to report the vehicle as stole, and the renter as the culprit, and to report this to the relevant authorities.
IV . Obligations of the lessor.
1. To present the vehicle in a state and appearance, that is befitting of its use.
2. To notify the renter of any mechanical issues that the car might have.
3. To ensure that the vehicle can be returned at the appointed time and place as stated in the contract
4. To document any eventual damages to the vehicle that have been caused by the renter.
5. To acknowledge the return of the vehicle, and to mark the contract as concluded.
V. Payments
1. The renter is obliged to pay the sum, that has been calculated sum as stated in the contract.
2. Any eventual late fees are applied as follows:
- One hour - no further charges
- From one to six hours - 100 % of the daily tariff
- Greater than six hours - 200 % of the daily tariff
VI. Payment Methods
1. In cash, when the vehicle is being rented in person
2. Payment through a POS Terminal that is associated with iBank ( Investbank ) with national and international debits cards of MasterCard, Maestro, Visa Electro, V Pay and international debit/credit cards that have the logo of MasterCard, VISA, Diners Club and Discovery
The vehicle that is being rented can only be used in the territories of the Republic of Bulgaria.
